Ahalya Nambiar

Ahalya is a sophomore at Columbia College majoring in Neuroscience and Political Science. She joins the DAN Lab eager to explore emotional development through the CALM Study. Previously, she conducted research with Dr. Jennifer Fonda at the Boston VA Medical Center on a paper examining alcohol use disorder relapse following COVID-19 — an experience that showed her how profoundly psychiatric disorders shape quality of life and sparked her interest in studying behavior at the systems neuroscience level.
