Our very own Dr. Nim Tottenham has been elected as a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, along with eight other Columbia faculty. The society was founded in 1780 and includes world-leading scientists, scholars, artists, and public leaders. This prestigious honor is well deserved, and we are grateful to learn and explore with her guidance!

Congratulations to Dr. Nim Tottenham, who has been named the 2023 Rovee-Collier Mentor Award Winner by the International Society for Developmental Psychobiology! We are thrilled to celebrate your exceptional mentorship!

The 2023 Rovee-Collier Mentor Award Winner: Nim Tottenham, PhD. Nim Tottenham, PhD is a Professor of Psychology, Director of the Developmental Affective Neuroscience Laboratory, and Chair of the Psychology Department at Columbia University. Her research examines the development of emotional behavior and associated brain maturation. In particular, her research has highlighted the powerful role that early experiences, such as caregiving and stress, has in brain development.

We are delighted to share that Anna Vannucci is an awardee of The NIH Blueprint and BRAIN Initiative Diversity Specialized Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Advancement in Neuroscience (D-SPAN) Award! This award supports the pre- to post-doctoral transition of diverse graduate students, and will facilitate Anna's ongoing investigation of the developmental neurocomputational mechanisms that link early-life adversity to affective behaviors. Congratulations, Anna!
