Research Assistant
Karolina is a Postbaccalaureate Certificate student in Psychology at Columbia. She earned her previous degrees in Europe and spent time studying in China and Taiwan before pivoting to psychology—her lifelong passion. Before moving to New York, she lived in Bali, where the local culture deepened her interest in mindful approaches to mental health. Her academic interests center on clinical psychology, particularly the impact of early caregiver–child relationships on the development of emotion regulation and how these early patterns shape interpersonal functioning later in life. She is currently a Research Assistant in the DAN Lab, contributing to the CALM Study on children’s emotional development.
