Laura O'Neill

Research Assistant

Laura is a Post-baccalaureate Certificate student studying psychology at Columbia. After completing her initial degree in classical music, she spent several years working in artist management and in music education coaching middle school through college-aged students. Laura also has the delight of contributing to the COMBO lab at Columbia University’s Medical Center where her team is piloting a remote version of the strange situation paradigm on a national scale. Her academic interests include the effects of early-life adversity on cognitive development, children’s development of self-concepts, specifically around academics, and how curiosity, creativity, and play intersect. Laura is thrilled to support the CALM study as a Research Assistant in the DAN Lab.
